Fiesta Mix with Brazilian meatballs

Inspired by the World Cup, we have developed an appropriate recipe for you: Oerlemans Fiesta Mix with Brazilian meatballs. These meatballs make you score!

Ingredients (for 10 persons):
One package of Fiesta Mix (2,5 kg)

For the Brazilian meatballs:

  • 8 dl strained tomatoes (passata)
  • 750 g minced beef
  • 200 g grated cheddar cheese
  • 150 g finely chopped onions
  • 150 g chopped chorizo
  • 150 g chopped bacon
  • 1 egg
  • 50 g breadcrumbs
  • 50 grams of flour
  • butter, garlic, ground paprika, salt and pepper.

Mix the beef, egg, cheese, chorizo, bacon, flour and breadcrumbs and season to taste with salt, pepper and paprika. Roll medium-sized balls. Fry the meatballs until browned, add the chopped onion and garlic and let it fry. Add the passata and cook the meatballs until well done. Season to taste with salt, pepper and other spices.

You can prepare the Fiesta Mix by letting the vegetables thaw in a bit of butter or oil over low heat, then stir-fry on high heat. In the traditional way, you could also cook the vegetables in a shallow layer of boiling water to which some salt has been added.

Serve the meatballs with the Fiesta Mix and enjoy a sporty meal!
